At the last Synod meeting held on Tuesday 4 October the subject of those sleeping rough on the streets of Milton Keynes was raised and great concern was expressed. In spite of various on-going and valuable efforts, it was felt that very much more could be done.
Fr Ross Northing and Rev Ernesto Lozada-Uzuriaga have organised a meeting of those keen to help. This will be held at Christ the Cornerstone Church, Central Milton Keynes, on Wednesday 9 November 2016, starting at 2.00pm. If you, or anyone you know, are interested in following up conversations about Rough Sleepers, I would encourage you to attend this meeting, even if you don’t know at this stage how you can help.
The increase in the number of those sleeping rough in our city is one which should concern all of us, and one where we have the opportunity to work together to help make Milton Keynes ‘A City Alive to God’.
