St Mary's Shenley
Ann Beaton from St Mary’s Wavendon will be joining us to talk about Church Trails…
Church Trails are an appealing way of teaching children aged between 8 and 12 years of age about places of worship and historic buildings, their meaning and history. They encourage investigation into architecture, art, and furnishings. There is a well-researched answer sheet which gives additional background information for adult helpers, often revealing new insights into familiar objects.
The trails take between 6 months to 1 year to put together and the local Arts Society will give £50 to help with the initial cost of printing the trails and the Arts Society in London will provide two holders to put in church to hold the trails.
Chapter communion will be led by Rev Mike Morris.
