An afternoon online retreat reflecting on Leonard Cohen’s quote ‘There’s a crack, a crack in everything, that’s how the light gets in’ is the recent offering from the Oxford Centre for Spiritual Growth (OCSG). This will take place on 13th February 2021 from 2 – 4.30pm, with the support of the late Georgie Simpson’s friends and advisory group, and that of the Rector at St Michael in the North Gate Church in Oxford (SMNG).
The event will be hosted by Anthony Buckley, the Rector of SMNG, and the well known priest, journalist and broadcaster, Angela Tilby will be giving two talks that afternoon, on the theme set by a quote from the song-writer Leonard Cohen. Details are to be found at http://www.ocsg.uk.net/events/how-light-gets-short-retreat-angela-tilby
This event will consist of two 55 minute sessions, with a break inbetween, and a donation of £15 – £25 is suggested. Details of the event and how to donate will be sent to those registering, and joining instructions will be sent to those who donate prior to the event.
Although Georgie Simpson, until recently OCSG’s Director, sadly passed away suddenly after a brief illness, the OCSG continues to hold a variety of events and approaches which will appeal to a wide range of people, encouraging growth in reflective practice and heightened awareness of God, others and themselves.
Do please pass on the details to friends who may be interested in this event.
