Citizens MK is delighted to be able to offer a two-day training course to MK Deanery.
Community Organising is a method used to help local communities to work together and achieve common goals. This two-day training course will help you to apply the methods of community organising as you build your congregation and serve your local community.
Community Organising can help you:
Grow Disciples – through relational meetings and congregational development
Serve the Common Good – by helping churches to focus on actions that make a difference
Re-imagine Ministry – by helping clergy and lay people to explore new models of leadership
Participants will be encouraged to identify a specific project that they will be working on. This could be an existing priority or a new initiative.
The course is for lay leaders and clergy.
It will take place on the following dates:
Tuesday September 11th: 9.30am till 4.00pm – Concepts and Tools
Tuesday September 18th: 9:30 till 12.00pm – Action and Planning
Saturday TBA: 9.30am till 12.00pm – Evaluation and Follow-up
