'Prison Hope Day' at Water Eaton Church Centre: 24 February 2018

Date(s) - 24/02/2018
2.00 pm to 5.30 pm

Water Eaton Church Centre,

“I was in prison and you came to visit me” – a Jesus command for us.

Could you bring hope to a prisoner?

If you’ve ever thought about getting involved in this important area of ministry, or would just like to find out more, then this is the event to help you do just that! Come along to this free event on Saturday 24 February and find out more.

Registration opens at 1.30pm, and the event itself, which is being run by Prison Fellowship Milton Keynes in conjunction with the Water Eaton Church Centre, will take place from 2.00 – 5.30pm. There will be a variety of stalls offering information and hoping to promote volunteering. These include Prison Alpha, Prison Fellowship, Prison Visiting, and the New Leaf Project, which is about mentoring.

A variety of speakers will be on hand to encourage you throughout the afternoon, including Peter Holloway (CEO of Prison Fellowship, England and Wales), Revd Bob Wilson (Free Churches Advisor to HMPPS), Peter Jones (Global Alpha to Prisons), and Revd Canon Alan Hodgetts (Managing Chaplain, HMPS Woodhill).

Do come along to find out more. It costs nothing, and with free refreshments provided throughout the event, hopefully you will leave with more than you came with!
