1 in 4 women will suffer abuse.

The statistic is unaffected by age, geography, financial status, education levels or religious belief.

The church should be famous for being a safe place for survivors to disclose their stories, be cared for well and for healing to happen. It should also be a place which champions a Christ-like masculinity which handles power very differently to our culture.

This is not always what the church is famous for.

This day’s training, which is suitable for all clergy and church leaders, will hopefully start to change that, equipping you to lead a church that is a safe place for victims of abuse, which works well with local authorities and which promotes healthy masculinity.

INPUT AND TRAINING PROVIDED BY:-
Restored
MK-ACT
Abuse Survivors
Thames Valley Police
The Bishop of Buckingham.

The event will take place at Margaret Powell House, 423 Midsummer Boulevard, MK9 3BN. Doors open at 10.00am for a 10.15am start. Lunch will be provided.

Early Bird Tickets cost £10.
