7.30 pm to 9.30 pm
St Mary's Church
St Mary’s Church, Woughton-on-the-Green has a tradition of inviting interesting speakers to what used to be known as their ‘St Mary’s Day Lecture’. This year they have invited Charles Woodd, Chairman of Friends of The Connection to speak, as part of their St Mary’s Day celebration.
The Connection, next to St Martin-in-the-Field’s Church, Trafalgar Square, London, is a registered homelessness charity which operates throughout the year to help people from across the UK and the world. It has over 60 years’ experience of helping people from all walks of life cope with the physical and psychological crisis of being homeless, while getting to the root cause of why someone ended up on the streets.
The event starts at 7.30pm and light refreshments will be provided. The evening is free of charge but there will be an opportunity to donate towards the work of The Connection if you wish.
